Pendragon as kept us busy this week... first we found out that he's been going two houses down from us and getting fed by our newest neighbours (they have 4 cats already but thought our cat, who is wearing a collar, was a stray and wanted to keep him until Shelly told them we were his owners), he's such a mooch.
on Monday our cat got into a fight with a new black cat on our street (an actual stray), and got bit on his foot, he was limping so we decided we'd actually set up an appointment for the vet, for a check-up and get him vaccinated. Well some of that changed due to last night. our cat is very stubborn (kind of like me), and still wanted to go out, even with his slight limp, so when my dad left for work I guess he let him out. I was nicely asleep when suddenly I a woke to a cat meowing, normally I ignore him, but I felt like I was awake anyhow so I went to see what he wanted... Pendragon had a lovely layer of blood on all of his feet and some nice gashes on his back, poor Pendragon got into a fight again, and lost. I carried him into the living room, where it is warmer than my dad's room, and fed him so cheese to make him feel better, he purred at that. I couldn't do anymore than that for him, because he'd howl or bite me really hard if I tried (I really don't know how I managed to get him to the living room with my face still in tacked). The following day (Thursday) my dad ended up taking him to the vet a day early. The doctor actually knew the origins of Pendragon's name,(shows the vet is a reader that's for sure <3). Anyways apparently Pendragon contracted a fever due to the wounds and had an absess in his foot( it was removed, and they didn't need to make a cut because the cat wound was big enough for them to use). The vet had to put Pendragon asleep because he nearly scratched the guys face and his biting was going through the guy's gloves, heh, I've got a mean kitty >3.
Anyways Pendragon his fine now, he'll growl at you if you try to pet him, and he's going to limp for a little longer. Sorry Kichy but he's not vaccinated yet because the doctor didn't want to give them to him while he had a fever... you still get to have a chance of getting rabies, yay!
